Hoover Cordless Vacuum Reviews

Hoover is a renowned American brand, a household name synonymous with vacuum cleaners for over a century. Established in 1908 by W.H. "Boss" Hoover, the company pioneered the domestic vacuum cleaner industry with its innovative "beater bar" design - a feature still used in modern vacuum cleaners today.

Over the years, Hoover has consistently stayed at the forefront of cleaning technology, producing a wide range of high-quality vacuum cleaners, from traditional upright models to contemporary cordless and robotic vacuums. Renowned for their durability, efficiency, and advanced features, Hoover's products are respected worldwide, making Hoover a trusted brand in home cleaning solutions, so much so the name "vacuum" is often mistakenly named "hoover".

Hoover or vacuum

You will often hear people mistakenly refer to their vacuum as a Hoover, even if it's a different brand. Mistaking the brand name as a verb - in a similar way to how people "Google" something - is the epitome of success for some brands, and shows the dominance that Hoover once had over the industry.

Product line

Hoover have a large range of products, everything from wine coolers, cookers, air purifiers to - of course - vacuums. They also have a wide range of cordless vacuum cleaners.

Hoover has also expanded into other product lines and industries which aren't readily advertised on their website, these product lines include industrial and commercial machinery and equipment.

The Hoover models

There are various cordless Hoover models available, and we have reviewed the most popular ones below.

Most of the models are affordable, with some of them entering the lower part of the mid-range. However, as mentioned, nearly all of the cordless vacuums are what we would consider affordable, and some are as low as a sixth of the cost of an equivalent Dyson.

All of the cordless vacuums are the traditional upright stick design, the differences are in the battery life, suction power, dust bin size and in some instances different heads and attachments. Hoover also offer 'Pet' versions of their cordless vacuums, which come with features specifically designed to combat pet hair in the home.
